Welcome to my sanctuary of song!
My name is TribuTerry. I am a songwriter/producer and my objective is to create music that leaves a good taste in your ear. This is a songwriter's website, not a performing/recording artist's site. I am presenting my songs here to be heard by potential publishers, collaborators, musicians, singers, and music fans looking for something other than rap or death metal to listen to.
Think of this site as a workshop where songs that are works in progress will evolve over time. I'm only just beginning to get back into writing and recording songs after a year's layoff, so this site will be regularly updated with new songs and newer versions of old songs, so please bookmark this site and stop by often! I wrote, arranged and produced all of the songs myself, including music and lyrics. I also presently record all of the instruments and vocals myself on these tunes (unless otherwise noted), but I am beginning to branch out and have others record some tracks for me. Check out the fantastic job Scott Seabock did singing "The Little Things" and "Unconditionally".
If you'd like to read the lyrics while you listen to the music, click the "Music" tab above, then click on the title of the song you want to listen to and the lyrics will appear. I know that most of these demos have a subpar audio quality to them. That's the whole point of this website for now -- fixing these subpar demos. But in the process of doing that, I need to have a place to present the demos to potential collaborators, etc. so that we can work together to improve the sound. Thus, this site. I'm also presenting these original songs with the hope that other singers and musicians will see them as attractive vehicles for performing and recording. Please feel free to contact me if you wish to cover some of this music. Or if you'd like to leave some feedback you can visit the guestbook area.
I’ve taken the name TribuTerry because I view my music as “a stream that flows into a larger stream” in more ways than one, like a tributary. I also view my music as a humble tribute of sorts to all those who have nurtured, inspired and enlightened me with their care, music and wisdom.
